On behalf of our patients and the teams at London’s Air Ambulance charity, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to those who donated over £40,000 to our charity following the atrocity at Westminster last week.
It is a sad reality that these events are part of modern life. Our service did its best to help save those affected and ensure they had the best possible chance of recovery.
As doctors and paramedics, we recognise the difference that the supporters of London’s Air Ambulance make to the people of London and those who visit us.It is humbling to see the effort our community makes to help others in their most vulnerable hour.
The money raised will go to maintaining our 24/7 service, including equipment and training, ensuring we can respond to a major incident should the unthinkable happen again.
Thank you once again — our service simply wouldn’t be here without you all.
Dr Gareth Davies, London’s Air Ambulance medical director
