Angel Adoree has confessed to feeling "anxious" as her son Arthur reaches a significant milestone ahead of their forthcoming UK tour. Angel and Dick Strawbridge, who gained popularity on Channel 4's Escape to the Chateau, could hardly contain their enthusiasm as they discussed their 2024 tour, Forever Home.

Forever Home is the couple's most extensive tour, with 33 dates commencing on October 6, in Angel's birthplace of Southend-on-Sea and concluding on November 17, in Brighton.

Dick and Angel's children - Arthur and Dorothy - will also be joining them on the tour. Speaking about the scale of the tour, Angel joked to Devon Live: "If you're going to do a tour, you have to do it properly."

Dick added: "The best bit is it's just like a family outing," before discussing their son Arthur's milestone and his ability to take time off school for the tour. "Arthur starts senior school and his Headmaster said, 'Yep, great, Arthur can come with us for the whole tour'. The primary schools have always been very supportive, and the headmistress there."

"Yeah, they love it," Angel concurred. "They encourage it to a degree because there's so much knowledge that the children pick up - history, geography, just socially, etc. But we were a bit anxious, especially me."

"The idea of Arthur not being with us for all of the tour is pretty rough," Dick clarified.

Discussing her son Arthur's growth, Angel shared a charming anecdote about how he now pats her on the head due to his height. "He has started doing this thing where he would pat me on the head and go, 'Little mummy'," the designer affectionately disclosed.

Shifting the conversation to their upcoming tour, Dick and Angel expressed their eagerness to return to the UK. The engineer highlighted: "We are British living in France, we are not French and it gives us a very different mindset."

He added: "And I've got a lot more experience of travelling around all of the UK and all the places we go to, I've been there at some stage.

"And the fact that Arthur and Dorothy, and, dare I say, Angela, because Angela is sort of a London-centric girl, we get to see the UK, and I get to show them bits they haven't seen before. So for us, that's really quite special."

Angel continued to explain that their trips back to the UK are not only an opportunity to catch up with friends and family but also to meet fans who have followed their journey over the years.

She stated: "When we come on tour, we see people that we have spoken to for years. You know, they might have been to a previous tour, this might be the first one, but we have this connection in this community that genuinely is very, very special.

"And we do this after every tour, every evening, we do a meet and greet, and it is about the same length as the actual performance as well."

Dick revealed their special connection to fans: "We stay until we have seen everybody who stayed behind. It is lovely because some people we've communicated with, as Angela said, through email, or met before, or the previous Chateau, or at a wedding or something, and we just get to see everybody and have a hug, so going home, we love."

The tour by the couple promises an array of untold anecdotes and laughter, as Dick and Angel opt for a unique angle where they turn the spotlight onto the audience in a deeply interactive show.

During this enjoyable night, attendees from each location - including Exeter - will be given the chance to bag a spot on stage and compete for the title of Escape to the Chateau Jack of All Trades.

Sharing a sneak peek into the tour, Dick explained what the audiences might witness: "I think one of the things is, you know, you've watched the Escape to the Chateau, you've seen a bit of what we do but there's so much more going on."

He added that they aim to divulge more about themselves as a duo in each performance.

Angel shared: "While a lot of people might know us or would know us from Escape to the Chateau, and they might know sort of Dick from Masterchef, or they might know me from Dragon's Den, etc, there have been so many bits that have happened in our world that goes back before we were born, and so we take everyone on a bit of a journey on how we actually got to the point of getting together and finding the chateau."
