Escape to the Country host admits 'I’m feeling pressured' over 'unusual' search
BBC star Nicki Chapman confessed she was feeling the pressure during Monday's episode of Escape to the Country. During the show, viewers were introduced to Jayne and David who were on the hunt for their dream home in Herefordshire.
However, the search was a little unusual for the programme as the duo had already made the move from their home in Basingstoke. Instead, the couple wanted to rent in the area before committing to buying a property to ensure they liked the location.
Living in a rented cottage for the past year, which was close to the Welsh/English border, the pair were now looking for a home of their own.
In the show, Nicki informed viewers that David was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease two years prior, which he confessed changed his perspective and outlook on life. Due to this, they wanted a property with land to have space for a holiday let.

With a budget of £575,000, Nicki met up with the pair before their search kicked off. She said: "At this point, I normally; say, 'Welcome to Herefordshire'. But, it's slightly different because this is already your home isn't it?"
Jayne replied: "We've been here for just over a year now and have fallen in love with the place." When asked if they were missing their old home in Hampshire, David added: "It's the people that you miss, not so much the area.
"But, it's time for a change and obviously, with your help and assistance, we need the experts to come in to show us some lovely properties.
The BBC star replied: "Yeah, I am feeling slightly pressured on this one!". Jayne and David shared they had already seen 10 potential homes and put an offer down on one, which fell through just before Christmas.
As the search kicked off, the duo were blown away by all of the homes that Nicki had shown them. When the show was coming to a close, the BBC host confessed she had no idea what they were going to decide.
Meeting up with Jayne and David, she said: "Every house that we've seen, we've left on a high so you've got to put us out of our misery! I honestly, genuinely don't know."
Jayne revealed they both had fallen in love with the mystery house, a unique train station building which had been extended below ground.
David said: "It's a lovely property, it's got everything that we need. Obviously, with planning permission with reference to that, f we can do what we want to do with it, I think that'll be the one for us."
Jayne added: "I just love the idea of putting a carriage on the station platform!". The house hunter highlighted how nothing needed doing to the property and praised how it had been renovated.
As the episode ended, the BBC host shared the couple were trying to organise a second viewing of the mystery house.
