Escape to the Country host asks 'where have you gone' as buyers disappear during viewing
Escape to the Country host Nicki Chapman was confused when a pair of buyers disappeared during a house viewing on Tuesday (February 4).
Today's episode of the BBC show saw Bromley-based couple Beverley and Neill leave their home of 30 years for a chance to live in the Devon countryside.
The couple had a hefty budget of £675,000, hoping to buy a detached property with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a manageable garden, and rural views. They also wanted the house to be near the coast.
After visiting two stunning properties on the Devon coast, Nicki took the pair to see the mystery house in the remote village of Rousdon, which left them speechless.

The spacious end-of-terrace house was located on a 350-acre estate, which was completed in 1878 - the seat of a wealthy tea and spice importer. It was transformed into an exclusive community of 104 homes 20 years ago, and even boasts its own private beach.
"Oh, my goodness. That is beautiful," said Neill, with Beverley adding: "Yikes! It's really interesting because it's so different to what we've been looking at."
As the trio went inside, Nicki began the tour in the sitting room but soon realised that the couple hadn't followed her in there.
"Where have you gone?" she asked down the hallway before Beverley and Neill reappeared, revealing they were having a "sneaky peek" inside the kitchen.
"I came striding in to say, 'Let's start with the sitting room,' and turned around and was on my own!" Nicki jokingly said.
After being wowed by the house viewing, Nicki revealed that the asking price was £690,000 - slightly over Beverley and Neill's budget.
Later, Nicki caught up with Beverley and Neill, who said that the mystery house had made their decision "quite difficult" because they weren't expecting it to affect them.
In the end, the couple decided to have a second viewing of the first house they saw before making an offer which was accepted.
