When will Euphoria season 2 be released?

Although HBO has confirmed there will be a second season of the show, an official release date is yet to be announced.

If season one is anything to go by, however, we should likely see the new episodes arrive in June in the US and August in the UK.

How can I watch Euphoria?

The HBO drama aired in the UK on Sky Atlantic and you can catch up on the episodes on Now TV.

If you haven't already signed up for the streaming service, they currently offer a free trial week and it is then £8.99 a month for the basic TV subscription.

How is Drake connected to the series?

The God's Plan rapper is the executive producer of the hit HBO show.

He's also the executive producer for British-based Netflix show, Top Boy, which returned to critical acclaim after a six-year hiatus in 2019.

Who's the cast of Euphoria?

American actress and singer Zendaya is set to reprise her role as Rue Bennett, after sharing the news that the show will be renewed for another instalment.

Wriiting on Twitter, she said: "Literally just got the call. Can't say thank you enough for the support we've seen, wow..."

Zendaya also told Elle: "I think Euphoria taught me a lot about myself. It made me more confident in my own abilities, because I doubted myself a lot."

She continued: “I was looking for something to prove I can do it. Euphoria served as that, in the healthiest way. I never want to plateau as an actress – I always want to be able to explore and push myself. [Being an actress] brings me to places and makes me do things I’d probably never do because I’m such an introverted person.

"Even though Euphoria coming out was amazing and exciting, it was also extremely stressful. It gave me a lot of anxiety every week,” she said. “That’s something I deal with; I have anxiety. I already know after this interview is over, I’m going to spiral about it for weeks."

While there's no official word on the rest of the season 2 cast, we're hoping Jacob Elordi will also be returning as Nate Jacobs, along with Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney and Barbie Ferreira.

Will there be new characters in season 2?

HBO recently put out a casting call for new characters for the upcoming series, so fans can expect some fresh faces when the new episodes eventually land.

The post, which has been shared across various social media platforms explains: “You must be 18 and older and based anywhere in the United States. No acting experience is necessary. If chosen, this is a paid opportunity.”

Is there a trailer?

Nope. However, HBO has released a teaser clip of all the new titles coming in 2020 though - and that includes a brief snapshot of Euphoria:

What we expect from season 2?

Fans will be pleased to know that Euphoria's creator Sam Levenson has poured cold water on claims Rue is dead.

We also hope the show explores Nate's sexuality, Cassie and McKay's relationship and Gia's bad girl streak in more detail.

Revealing that he has planned out the next set of episodes, Levenson previously told the Hollywood Reporter: "I have a pretty clear sense of where it's headed. I'm excited to let the characters lead me in terms of once I start writing.

"I just follow the characters and allow it to take on its own world. But I've got a fairly clear sense of where it's going and I've already started writing a good portion of it."
