Euro 2020 dates: When does it start and what date is the final?

Euro 2020 will begin in June as the tournament returns with a brand new look.

Twenty-four nations will compete across 11 venues from Dublin to Baku as Uefa goes ahead with its ambitious and somewhat controversial plan for a pan-continental tournament.

Portugal will be back looking to defend their crown but face stiff competition from a wide open field which includes the world champions, France. The pair have been drawn in the undoubted ‘group of death’ with Germany and an unlucky play-off winner.

England will take on Croatia, Czech Republic and another play-off winner in a group that sees Gareth Southgate’s men meet two nations they have lost against in recent times.

Wales meanwhile face Italy, Switzerland and Turkey in a group which will see them play two games in Azerbaijan before heading to Rome for the final match against the Italians.
