EuroMillions: Briton Wins £81m Jackpot

A British ticket-holder has scooped £81m by landing the EuroMillions jackpot - the sixth biggest on the National Lottery Rich List.

Tuesday's winning numbers were 08, 13, 26, 34 and 38, while the Lucky Stars were 03 and 11.

According to The Sunday Times Rich List 2012, £80m would make the winner the joint 908th richest person in the country.

The lucky winner is just £10m short of Queen guitarist Brian May, who is worth £90m but can boast of being four times richer than Adele who has a fortune of £20m.

A National Lottery spokesman said: "We've been giving the rest of Europe a chance to win big this year, but Lady Luck is clearly shining back down on the UK once again.

"This new jackpot winning ticket-holder flies into sixth place in the exclusive National Lottery Rich List just behind an anonymous ticket-holder who won £84.4m in May 2010."
