Arsenal will face seven-time European champions AC Milan in the last 16 of the Europa League after learning their fate.

The Gunners scraped through on Thursday night following their dreadful 2-1 home defeat to Swedish minnows Ostersunds.

The draw in Nyon, Switzerland, has kept Arsene Wenger’s team apart from Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Lazio.

They face a Milan side going through a tough time. They sit 7th in Serie A, 15 points behind leaders Napoli.

The first leg will be in Italy on Thursday March 8 with the second leg a week later in London.

The last time the Gunners played in the San Siro back in 2012 they lost 4-0 against the giants, a game which saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic score against an Arsenal side who were blown away in the Champions League.

The Premier League must improve following their pitiful performance at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night, a display the Frenchman labelled ‘unfocused’.

Arsenal could get their hands on their first trophy of the season this Sunday at Wembley Stadium when they take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.
