Euros 2024 sees Romford market stallholder confidently back England win with 3-0 victory over Holland

It's a big game for England tonight in the semi-final of the Euros football tournament - and in one Essex town people are feeling confident. In Romford, fans told us they are backing the team to win - with some even predicting the team will go on to win the whole thing.

One man has elevated his passion for England football to new heights. For the past 10 years, Jeffrey Dartford has been running a market stall in Romford exclusively selling England memorabilia.

Jeffrey Dartford, 49, has passionately supported England by selling affordable merchandise, having started back in 2014 for the World Cup. He said: “I'm a big football supporter, I love England! And most shops don't sell these products, so I jumped on board!”

According to Jeffrey, the stall has been very busy during the Euro 2024 tournament, with bucket hats and flags being top sellers. The most popular item, however, is the horn.

Jeffrey said: “Fridays and Saturdays are especially busy, but every day there's a buzz with fans gearing up. People love this stuff because they know we've got a very good chance this year!”

Tonight, the national team is facing the Netherlands in the Euro 2024 semi-finals. It follows England’s dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Switzerland.

While we spoke to Jeffrey, many curious shoppers checked out the merchandise, and one buyer started chatting about tonight’s match. He confidently predicted a 2-1 victory for England.

However, Jeffrey disagrees. He said: “I know we're going to win 3-0 tonight, with Kane scoring first, a penalty. And we'll go to the final on Sunday and win there.”

Romford residents seemed equally confident about tonight's match. Four men sporting England football t-shirts at a town pub said that England will showcase their true potential.

If England wins tonight, Jeffrey hopes to attend the final in Berlin. He shared: “I was at the England v Slovenia game in Germany three weeks ago, and the atmosphere was brilliant!”

The England vs. Netherlands match kicks off at 8 pm on ITV1. The winner will face Spain in Sunday's final, after their victory against France.
