Eurovision viewers baffled by Estonia's act as guitar 'magically' disappears
Eurovision viewers were left scratching their heads during tonight's (May 18) final after one act seemed to make his instrument disappear mid-performance.
Estonia's Victor Crone performed his song 'Storm', guitar in hand – which was harmless enough – though he managed to catch viewers off guard with a bit of live TV trickery.
Victor began his performance by singing at a microphone with his guitar, though about halfway through the camera zoomed in onto his face as he was strumming.
However, the following shot showed his whole body... the instrument nowhere to be seen. Whaaa...?
What trickery is this Estonia? Where the hell did the guitar go? #est #EUROVISION pic.twitter.com/dhWMFhXumN

And another twist was to come, as the guitar magically appeared again towards the end of the performance. A shot changed from CGI effects of solo Victor superimposed over storms (naturally) to Victor back at the mic, guitar back in hand.
Viewers at home were baffled to say the least, comedian David Baddiel asking in (rather NSFW terms): "Where the f**k's his guitar gone?"

Another confused viewer said: "Did ANYONE see where Estonia’s guitar went??? One second it was there, the next nowhere to be seen!!"

While we imagine the disappearing act was a bit of slickness on the part of the backstage staff, who presumably took the guitar out of shot, the fact it was live TV was pretty impressive.
