New Evacuations on La Palma Bring to Over 7,000 the Number Displaced by Lava Flow

Lava flowing from the Cumbre Vieja volcano in La Palma, Spain, led to yet more evacuations on October 14, bringing the total number of displaced people to over 7,000, El Pais said.

El Pais said the new evacuations affected around 300 people in Los Llanos de Aridane. Several hundred people had already been evacuated from that commune earlier in the week.
