Evacuations as Pipeline Fire Rages Overnight in Houston Suburbs

A pipeline fire in the Houston area prompted evacuations on Monday, September 16, and was expected to burn off early on Tuesday.

The fire sparked when an SUV crashed into an above-ground pipeline valve, according to the City of Deer Park

Dramatic footage from the Cy-Fair Fire Department shows flames shooting into the sky, as seen from Spencer Highway in La Porte.
