Evening Standard Art Prize in association with Hiscox: £10,000 to be won

The Evening Standard Art Prize in association with Hiscox returns for a second year, this time with the theme of ‘progress’, aiming to inspire artists around the UK to create original works.

Submissions must be original pieces reflecting the brief of ‘progress’, may not exceed 841 x 1189 mm (33.1 x 46.8 inches) and must be able to be displayed on a wall or on an easel. The winner will be the favourite piece chosen by the judging panel and the winning artist will receive £10,000, a year’s Hiscox Fine Art Insurance and a lifetime National Arts Pass.

To enter, send your full name, contact number, your postcode, the title of the artwork, the dimensions of the artwork and three images of the work from different angles (not to exceed 14 MB) via email to artprize@standard.co.uk. Please only submit one piece of work.

There is one prize of £10,000 in cash, a lifetime National Arts Pass and Hiscox Fine Art Insurance up to a maximum premium of £2,500 for one year (subject to eligibility; and the artist must reside within the UK). Longlisted entries will need to be sent/brought in to a London address for judging by 15 October, details will be provided to those longlisted. By entering, your submission automatically becomes content which may be used by The Evening Standard or Hiscox in future marketing. Longlisted entries will be required to sign a waiver before their work can be displayed for final judging. Hiscox is solely responsible for the Fine Art Insurance prize.
