Everton fans reject red kitchen during French property hunt on A Place in the Sun
During the latest instalment of A Place in the Sun, presenter Jasmine Harman's guiding skills met a bit of resistance whilst helping out British pair Ronnie and Jill with their property quest abroad.
The couple are seeking to embrace the French lifestyle, now that their offspring have flown the nest. In Thursday's episode (September 19), Jasmine was once again at the helm, attempting to match the husband-and-wife duo with their dream home in France.
However, their house search hit an unexpected stumbling block when they entered a kitchen covered in a bold red hue. Without mincing her words, Jill told Jasmine straight up: "We can't possibly have a red kitchen."
Laughter ensued as Jill explained their strong reaction, given their loyalty as Everton fans a red kitchen would be a no-go due to the team association. Both clear blues, the colour clash was simply not an option for them, reports the Mirror.

The episode finished without Ronnie and Jill making an immediate property purchase, despite initially seeming enamoured with the first one shown. They concluded that despite its appeal, the modern-designed home might not be situated in the ideal locale for them.
After the show wrapped up with no offers on the table, viewers tuning in from their living rooms expressed their letdown. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one audience member commented: "No offers today then," alongside a rolling eyes emoji, encapsulating the shared sentiment of viewers hoping for a more conclusive ending.
One viewer bluntly wrote: "We don't care if it's right for you. Just make an offer."
Another chimed in with a cheeky comment: "Free holiday for the scousers?" A frustrated fan, eager for a conclusion, exclaimed: "I knew we'd have this b******t at the end."
Despite initial viewer frustration with Jill and Ronnie playing their cards close to their chest on A Place in the Sun, it transpired that the couple did indeed make an offer on one of the properties they had viewed. Fortunately for them, their offer was accepted.
As the episode wrapped up, presenter Jasmine shared that Ronnie and Jill were residing in a rental property in France, eagerly awaiting the keys to their new abode.
A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 4pm on Channel 4.
