As far as starts to a season go, it could definitely have been better for Everton. Three defeats from three in the Premier League, including a historic late collapse against Bournemouth on Saturday, have left an early cloud over Sean Dyche's side.

The Blues sit bottom of the table at the first international break and already the club looks in need of a positive jolt.

Supporters are already concerned that the campaign could be another one of looking nervously at results down the bottom of the table.

There have been some shafts of light among the gloom, though.

Iliman Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam have shown promise after their summer arrivals, while Orel Mangala and Armando Broja have yet to feature following their late signings. The opening 85 minutes against Bournemouth was excellent too, if you can somehow forget about the late drama that followed.

The upcoming months are set to be rife with ups and downs. While there is still uncertainty around the club's long-term ownership, this season will be the last at Goodison Park before the move to Bramley-Moore Dock. Expect emotions to be highly strung as such.

So what does that mean for the mood around the club?

Are the players and the manager underperforming so far?

Or do the overarching issues at Everton make it difficult for anyone to succeed on a long-term basis?
