Let’s face it. Superhero shows are popular. And they’re not going anywhere. A whole host of new shows have already been announced by Marvel and DC, set to join the already-crammed superhero landscape. While these new shows probably won’t match up to the popularity of the likes of Arrow or Jessica Jones, they are promising. From a comedy following an insurance firm fed up of superheroes destroying the city to a series targeted at young adults, there’s certainly something for everyone. Here’s every confirmed superhero show that will soon make their way onto TV screens.

Powerless (NBC)

Vanessa Hudgens takes on the lead role of Emily Locke in Powerless, an insurance claims adjuster. Her company is said to be the worst in America but there’s a twist - they deal with cleaning up the mess left behind by superheroes. While the show is set within the DC universe, don’t expect Batman or Superman to turn up anytime soon. The workplace comedy is an intriguing concept and a look into the everyday lives of those to have to live with the damage created by superheroes, something we don’t really think of. The show should premiere around September/October and stars Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk, Christina Kirk and Kate Micucci.

Legion (FX)

He plays David Haller, a man diagnosed with schizoprenia at a young age who tries to find his way back to sanity. In the process, he is confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he’s getting might be real. Legion is one of two shows set within the X-Men universe also starring Rachel Keller, Jean Smart and Aubrey Plaza. The second show, Hellfire Club is currently in development and is said to be set in the 1960′s, following an agent who uncovers a secret society of millionaires planning to take over the world. Legion is set to premiere in early 2017.

Marvel ordered a series based on the Cloak and Dagger comic, a story about two New York runaways who gain superpowers and begin to tackle crime in the city. The show should sit nicely with a young adult audience which is why Marvel have found it a home on ABC’s young-people-friendly network Freeform.
