The heartbroken mother of a missing teenager has described his disappearance as 'every parent's worst nightmare' as she revealed he may have travelled through Stoke-on-Trent.

Donna Duffy, Dillon Duffy's mum, is 'worried sick' after her son disappeared on Tuesday, June 18. She explained that she dropped him off near the Asda supermarket in Oldham at around 8am, with plans for him to head to work from there - but he never arrived.

According to Donna, the 18-year-old's phone last registered at Manchester Piccadilly station around 3.25pm yesterday afternoon, and it appears to have been switched off since then.

Donna disclosed that Dillon, who left a note for his family, may have now travelled to London. She found booked train tickets, suggesting he might have travelled through Stoke-on-Trent en route to the capital on Tuesday. She is asking anyone in both the Potteries and London who may have seen Dillon to get in touch.

Speaking to the MEN on Wednesday afternoon, Donna revealed that there has 'still been no communication' from Dillon and the family are anxiously awaiting any information from CCTV enquiries being conducted by the police.

A recent photo of Dillon sporting shorter hair was shared as part of the family's appeal for information, along with stills from home camera footage reportedly showing Dillon walking just over half a mile from a train station, at approximately 2.19pm on Tuesday.

"I'm worried sick please if anyone has any contacts in London please share," she posted in an update on social media. "He is now missing and all we know is that he booked a train to London Euston. He has switched his phone off and there is no activity on social media.

"This is a parent's worst nightmare. If anyone has any details or know any whereabouts of Dillon's location please contact myself or the local police. I'm worried sick and just want to know he is safe somewhere."

Donna added: "I dropped him off at Asda on and he was supposed to go to work for 8am, which was over the road. But he's not turned up for work. That's the last I saw of him.

"I think the police have said this his phone was pinged at Manchester Piccadilly at 3.25pm and that's it... we've not seen anything else since. His phone has been off since then."

Dillon is thought to be possibly wearing a dark hooded North Face jacket with black trainers. He may also be carrying a black backpack.

Dillon's disappearance has been reported to Greater Manchester Police, a spokesperson for the force confirmed.
