Everything you need to know about Taylor Swift's upcoming Edinburgh concerts at Murrayfield


The first set of UK shows for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour are nearly upon us. The pop sensation will kick off with a three-night stint in Edinburgh, attracting fans from all corners of the globe to Scotland.

Before the celebrations commence on Friday, June 7, there are several key details that fans should be aware of. Taylor is scheduled to perform three concerts at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium on Friday, June 7, Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9.

In the following weeks, she'll be gracing stages in Liverpool, Cardiff and London. To help Scottish Swifties get into the party spirit, a series of events have been planned around the city to coincide with the concert performances.

Details about the Edinburgh Taylored Taste Trail, Capital Radio pop-up, and free friendship bracelet making session in St James Quarter can be found via the links provided.

Murrayfield has also issued a reminder to fans that the area is not suitable for overnight camping or early queuing ahead of the gates opening. Fans attending the shows are advised to arrive at the time specified on their tickets, reports Wales Online.

What time do gates open?

There are three crucial times that concert-goers need to remember. VIP ticket holders will gain early access to the stadium at 3pm, while those with General Admission tickets will be allowed entry from 4pm.

Those with Early Entry tickets will have their own dedicated turnstiles for access to the venue. Similarly, Hospitality ticket holders will also have specific lanes at the turnstiles and can enter the stadium from 4pm.

The event is set to kick off at 6pm.

Ticket Information

By now, fans should already have their tickets in hand. However, the stadium has issued some last-minute guidance, which includes:

  • Tickets won’t be sold at the stadium, so don’t turn up to the venue if you do not have one.

  • The Customer Service Office will be open from 2pm for anyone with questions about ticketing.

  • All tickets are mobile tickets, so make sure you have them downloaded with the most up to date version of the app.

  • VIP Ticket Collections will be available from the Box Office, which is located by the South Entry turnstiles.

Stadium Map

Murrayfield will be using dedicated turnstiles for specific tickets to streamline access to the venue. It's crucial that you arrive at the correct area as indicated on your ticket, as entry will not be permitted through the wrong turnstile.

Getting to the Stadium

According to a note from Murrayfield, the stadium is well-served by public transport and is within walking distance from the city centre. Please note that there is no parking available around the stadium.

Designated drop-off and pick-up points will be available for concert-goers. Ensure you locate these on the map before arriving at the stadium.

Scottish Rugby has established two official drop-off locations to the North of the stadium, both on Costorphine Road. If you're heading to the stadium from the south, there are two additional drop-off points; one situated at Balgreen Road, near Gorgie Road and another on Russel Road. You can pick up people from these locations post-show.

Stadium restrictions

There are several restrictions in place for Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour. Age restrictions include no under 14s allowed in the standing area, and no under fives permitted in the seated areas.

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited within the stadium. Overnight camping or early queuing is also not allowed.
