Everything we know after young man shot at Caludon Castle Park in Coventry
Police are continuing to hunt for the people behind a Coventry shooting that left a man with life-threatening injuries. It happened at Caludon Castle Park yesterday evening (Monday, October 21).
Officers were called to Farren Road at around 10.20pm and found a 24-year-old man seriously injured. Shots had reportedly been fired during an incident at Caludon Castle Park.
Paramedics gave the injured man treatment at the scene, West Midlands Ambulance Service said. He remains hospitalised today (October 23) with his injuries deemed life-threatening.

Officers are investigating the lead-up to the shooting and were stationed at the scene this morning (October 22). CCTV enquiries will also be conducted, West Midlands Police said.
Police have appealed for information on the incident and urged people to get in touch by calling 101. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers.

West Midlands Police told CoventryLive that no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting yesterday evening (October 21). Enquiries to find those responsible are believed to be 'ongoing.'

West Midlands Police said they 'understand the alarm incidents like this cause' as they continue to investigate the shooting at Caludon Castle Park. Patrols have been stepped up today (October 22) to 'provide reassurance to the community.'
In a statement issued this morning (October 22), they said: “We were called to Caludon Park on Farren Road at 10.17pm where a 24-year-old man was found with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital and remains in a life-threatening condition.
“We have spoken to witnesses and are carrying out CCTV enquiries in and around the area. Extra patrols have been stepped up today to offer reassurance to the local community.
“We understand the alarm incidents like this cause, and our officers will be providing reassurance to the community, so please talk to them if you have any concerns.”
