Ewan McGregor Calls Boris Johnson A 'Spineless C*nt'

A lot of people aren’t happy with the political state of the UK today and many celebrities have taken to social media to share their views on the incredibly messy situation.

However, few have been quite as vocal as actor Ewan McGregor, who really didn’t hold back in a tweet to Boris Johnson earlier today.

In case you’ve been living under a blissfully ignorant rock for the past week, Boris Johnson’s campaign for Britain to leave Europe won by an incredibly small percentage on Thursday and Prime Minister David Cameron, who wanted to remain in Europe, promptly resigned.

After that it was widely thought that Boris would put himself forward as the new leader of the Conservative party and PM, leaving citizens stunned earlier today when the blonde politician ruled himself out by not nominating himself for the role, a move that Ewan found to be a bit of a coward’s way out.

Taking to his Twitter page, the Trainspotting star wrote to Boris: “You spineless c$&t You lead this ludicrous campaign to leave EU. Win, and now fuc& off to let someone else clear up your mess.”

Ooft.

Crass as it was, many agreed with Ewan’s sentiment and it has already been retweeted more than 5,000 times in less than one hour.

Ewan has also spoken out in support of Labour’s leader Jeremy Corbyn, who has been blamed for the ‘Leave’ campaign’s triumph, with many thinking that he is being treated as a scapegoat.

Theresa May, Michael Gove, Stephen Crabb, Andrew Leadsom and Liam Fox have all put themselves forward to take on David Cameron’s role.
