Former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! campmate Rebekah Vardy has opened up about her time in the jungle, claiming that the reality show is highly edited and even scripted, to some degree.

Discussing her jungle stint with Heat Magazine, Rebekah said she was surprised by how "edited" the show is, and added that sometimes campmates were told what to talk about as they were all sat around the fire.

"Even down to us walking to the trials, we had to do that walk three or four times," Rebekah explained.

"Any time that you see people sat around the fire, usually someone's been called to the Bush Telegraph room and comes out with a bit of paper and says, 'We all need to discuss this topic'."

Rebekah also added that the camp area is "all fake" and admitted to being surprised about the number of cameras that were around to film everything.

"I lost count of how many cameras there are," she continued. "Above your head, the cameras are on zip-wires, so they follow you everywhere! It's crazy, it's like Big Brother – you're watched and listened to 24 hours a day."

In response to the comments, an ITV spokesperson has told Digital Spy: "What viewers see on screen is a fair and accurate representation of life in camp."

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! continues tonight (November 20) at 9pm on ITV, followed by Extra Camp at 10pm on ITV2.
