Former Home and Away star Orpheus Pledger has appeared in court after being arrested earlier this year on drug possession charges.
The actor played the role of Mason Morgan on the soap between 2016 and 2019, and before that appeared in Neighbours as Noah Parkin in 2011.
The 28-year-old was allegedly caught with half a gram of methamphetamine and 30 Diazepam tablets in February, and was arrested by police before being bailed. He has not yet pleaded guilty or not guilty (via Herald Sun).
Pledger decided to leave Home and Away in 2019, and fans of Home and Away saw Mason devastatingly lose his life after gunmen took over the hospital and took several characters hostage. With Bella Nixon's life at risk, he confronted the gang and ended up being shot dead.
Following his departure from Home and Away, Pledger revealed last year that he had been producing music while in lockdown, telling Daily Mail Australia, "There will be singing involved, but I've been mainly producing music. I'm inspired by all the great eras of music over the years."
He's also appeared in Australian TV shows Silversun, CrashBurn and The Secret Life Of Us - as well as the TV movie Schapelle - over the course of his career.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
