Ex-Rangers star Alfredo Morelos 'arrested for drink driving' in Colombia as motorcyclist left 'fighting for life'
Ex Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving in his native Colombia after he was involved in a horror road crash that left a motorcyclist 'fighting for his life'.
The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning (October 23) with the 28-year-old reportedly colliding with the motorcyclist after crossing into the opposite lane of the road as he attempted to overtake a truck.
Local media reports identified the motorcyclist as Sebastian Guillermo Davila Valderrama - he is said to be in hospital where he is being monitored by doctors.

The Record reports that the incident happened on the main road of the Colombian city of Medellin, where his current club Atletico Nacional are based. Morelos, who spent six years at Ibrox, is currently on loan in Colombia after a miserable time at Brazilian club Santos, who he joined last summer after leaving Rangers.
Morelos was immediately fined £4000 by police and his club Atletico Nacional dropped him from the squad for their Colombian Cup quarter final second leg tie against Jaguares.
Morelos was reportedly on his way to training when the accident occurred.
The striker was never far from controversy during his time in Scotland. In January 2020 he called in the police after discovering a man "tampering" with his £150,000 car. Police Scotland removed his Lamborghini sports car for "examination" after Morelos allegedly discovered someone lurking underneath it. But it later emerged his car had been targeted by private detectives hired by his wife Yesenia.
