Liverpool's Lunar New Year festivities will be in full swing today, with Chinatown becoming a sea of colour, music and dance. The annual lion and dragon parade will take place on various nearby streets with thousands expected to be in attendance for the display.

This year commemorates the 25th anniversary of the iconic Chinese Arch gifted to the city in 2000. The fun begins from 11am to 5pm with martial arts performances, dancing, firecracker displays, and plenty more around the Chinatown area.

Today's Dragon and Lion parade starts at 11:30am and finishes at approximately 3:30pm. The Unicorn parade starts at 12:15pm and finishes at approximately 4pm.
