'Excited' Kids Bounce on Snow-Covered Trampoline as Cold Snap Brings Wintry Weather to New South Wales

A pair of excited children took to their backyard trampoline after waking up to a blanket of snow in Portland, New South Wales, after a cold snap brought wintry weather to parts of the state on June 10.

The Bureau of Meteorology was expecting moderate to light snowfalls in the state’s ranges and Blue Mountains areas. The Perisher Valley received around half a metre of snow.

A winter blast brought snow, rain, and temperatures as low as 10 degrees below the average to parts of the country.

“Some excited and slightly crazy kiddos this morning,” Katie Barnes wrote in a Facebook post with this video showing the pair enjoying the rare snow day. Credit: Katie Barnes via Storyful
