Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard has revealed exclusively to Digital Spy that the Soccer Aid rivalry between his co-workers Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid is getting heated.

The GMB presenters will be leading opposing teams in Sunday's charity football match at Stamford Bridge in London. On one side of the pitch will be Piers and I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! winner Harry Redknapp, coaching the likes of Usain Bolt, against Susanna and Sam Allardyce's England squad – featuring Harry's son Jamie Redknapp and Ben himself!

Speaking to Digital Spy and others ahead of the Soccer Aid for Unicef match, Ben told us that his co-presenter has a winner-take-all attitude – and if she loses Sunday's all-star charity match, she doesn't want to work with him the next day.

"She's making it very clear she doesn’t want to go to work Monday morning [if Piers wins]," Ben said. "Imagine going to work with Piers, anyway!"

Ben added that he'll be spared any direct wrath from Piers because of their GMB shift schedule, saying: "Fortunately, I don't have to be there when he's there!"

But the presenter is aware that he might face some cyber-taunting from Piers, who has been on blasting everything from Love Island, fellow ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly and Simon Cowell's Britain's Got Talent ratings lately.

And asked how he'll counteract Piers' Twitter bragging if his side wins the match, Ben joked: "That's what the mute button is for. He's not muted on my account but Monday morning, I might."

Soccer Aid for Unicef is on Sunday, June 16 at London’s Stamford Bridge Stadium, and broadcast exclusively live on ITV and STV from 6:30pm. To donate to Unicef, visit www.socceraid.org.uk.
