Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks star Billy Price has revealed a shocking new moment ahead for his character Sid Sumner, who has to prove his loyalty to Victor Brothers once again.

Sid has started working for drug dealer Victor (Benjamin O'Mahony), but is secretly gathering evidence against him in the hope of bringing down the County Lines operation once and for all.

Viewers have already seen Sid pass Victor's first loyalty test, as he chose not to call any of his loved ones for help when the dangerous villain locked him in a car boot this week.

In Friday's E4 first look episode (January 29), Victor has a terrible new task for Sid – ordering him to attack Ollie (Gabriel Clark) as punishment for taking ketamine without paying yesterday.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Billy explained: "Sid is told to beat up Ollie. Ollie is refusing to pay for some drugs that he got from Sid, so now Victor is out of pocket.

"Victor wants Sid to teach him a lesson and prove what he can do. I don't think that Sid likes Ollie – that boy has done him dirty plenty of times – but Sid's not a violent, horrible person and he doesn't want to do it."

Ollie remains in the grip of a serious drug addiction and is currently unaware of Sid's plans to ultimately bring down Victor.

Asked whether he'd like Sid and Ollie to become closer friends one day, Billy replied: "I love Gabriel, but in terms of the characters I don't think they should become close. Sid's a very forgiving person, but Ollie's put him through so much more than he needed to go through.

"He's slept with the love of his life, Juliet, he's not making Sid's life easy with Victor, he's shown up on the day of Jordan's funeral asking for drugs and there's a lot more stuff to come that proves that he's not someone Sid wants as a friend. Maybe as an acquaintance at arm's reach, but not someone to let into his inner circle."

Billy also expressed his hope that Sid will manage to achieve his aim and spark Victor's downfall.

He said: "Sid owes everyone that he's got involved in this County Lines operation to stop it once and for all. The only reason County Lines has polluted the village is because Jordan was his cousin and he wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for Sid.

"He feels like he's caused it and he's got to clean up his own mess. He wants to be the one to end it all for his own sake, to say: 'I caused this for everyone, but I fixed it'."

Hollyoaks continues tonight at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with a first look screening at 7pm on E4.
