Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks star Billy Price has revealed Sid Sumner's future following his shock return.
All of Sid's friends got the surprise of their lives in the final moments of Wednesday's (March 17) E4 episode when he turned up as it was revealed he'd been watching as drugs boss Victor was finally taken down from his many crimes.
Victor had been arrested after Ollie was able to get the location of his "personal graveyard", then set the kingpin up to be busted by police for carrying a deadly weapon.
There had been some hints that Sid wasn't actually dead following his horrific stabbing earlier this month, and now that he's back, Billy – who plays Sid – has spoken to Digital Spy about what's next for the character.
"From the stuff I've been filming now… he's done the deed and tried to take it into his own hands to finish what he started, in a sense, with the County Lines," the actor explained. "Now, we'll go back to him living with a disability. I feel like that will be quite nice."
The actor then explained: "With COVID, we kinda rushed the recovery time and what it's actually like to live with a disability and the challenges you face with it. We kinda go back and start again. What it's like to live with a disability. What dreams he wants to do next, where his life will go with that.
"It will be quite nice to explore that bit."
Now that Sid has faked his own death, surely the character is safe from actually being killed off, right? Billy isn't so worried either way, it seems.
"I feel like Sid, in a sense, he's a very relatable character, you know," the actor pointed out. "He's been through quite a lot. There will be people who can relate to some things, and people who can relate to others.
"So, I've put me mark on the show. I've done my little bit, so whenever it's time, whenever they want to flick me out, that was my time to go! I trust the writers and they do a great job. Whenever they want me gone, I'll pack me backs and I'll go."
Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
