Hollyoaks star James Sutton has praised upcoming plans for the McQueen family.
The Channel 4 soap will soon enter a new era on screen, as Lucy Allan has taken over the role of executive producer.
Previous boss Bryan Kirkwood left the show at the end of last year, but his episodes and story plans will continue to play out until June.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, James – who plays John Paul – hinted at exciting times ahead for his on-screen family.
The McQueens have just featured in another big moment on screen, as Sally St Claire (Annie Wallace) was revealed as George Kiss's killer.
Hinting at what happens next, James told us: "The McQueens will definitely get stronger and definitely be back together.
"We had a meeting with our new exec Lucy Allan the other day and she told us some good stuff that we've got coming up as a family – the plans for the family and where they see the McQueens in the show.
"It was food for thought and we're all very excited about the next 12, 18 months and what's going to come forward for all of us."
Lucy Allan previously served as Hollyoaks producer in 2009.
After her first 'Oaks stint, Allan produced Waterloo Road for BBC One and also enjoyed a successful period working as BBC Children's In House Genre Lead for Drama Productions.
Her slate of programmes at the BBC included The Worst Witch, Hetty Feather, The Dumping Ground and Get Even.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
