EXCLUSIVE Love Island's Kem Cetinay slams Lethal Bizzle spat: 'He should have gone through the label'

Last week Lethal Bizzle sparked Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes’ first bit of rap beef after posting a video on Twitter accusing the Love Island stars of “stealing his catchphrase” and demanding payment for it.

Kem and Chris nabbed the number one spot on iTunes with their debut single ‘Little Bit Leave It’ – a term that Bizzle was adamant he had invented.

The reality stars laughed off the beef at the time but Bizzle later confirmed that he had “agreed a percentage” with the boys’ label and that he will be getting royalties for the use of his phrase.

Now Kem has hit out at the rapper for going through him and Chris in the first place, insisting that it would have made more sense for Bizzle to contact the label directly.

Speaking exclusively to Yahoo Celeb UK at the Spectacle Wearer of the Year Awards, Kem told us: “I’m a big fan of Lethal Bizzle so I don’t want to say anything but I think it was all a bit of a joke.

“If he was going to get [royalties] then he should have spoken to the record label, not me and Chris.

“Me and Chris are amateurs, we don’t know what we’re doing and what it’s all about.”

Kem’s girlfriend, Amber Davies, added that she “didn’t like” Bizzle’s tweet, adding: “I am so protective.

“If anybody does anything towards him that I don’t like it really does upset me and he goes to me ‘It’s nothing, it’s not serious’.

“I did not like the tweet [Bizzle] did though. I said to Kem I didn’t like it.”

In light of the drama with Lethal Bizzle, Kem confessed that he is still getting used to the music industry, sharing: “It’s hard work and the most surreal feeling in the world.

“It’s mad to go from TV to music, it’s a different industry. You have to adapt and learn as you go on, but it has been hard.”

And despite spending copious amounts of time with his Love Island co-star Chris since leaving the ITV2 villa, Kem insisted that he is yet to clash with his partner in crime.

He told us: “It’s so weird that we never clash, it’s not normal.

“I’m one of the characters that one minute people like me and the next they don’t, yet we’ve not fallen out even though we are constantly together.

“We’re on the same wavelength, it’s weird. We are not like friends at all, we are more like brothers – we haven’t clashed once.”
