Stormzy penned the love track in honour of Maya, who turned 22 earlier this month.

The song includes the line, ‘You’re a princess, do as you please, it’s your day go and take leave, I’m gona do all that I can so we stick to the plan, go ahead go and live your dreams’ and shows how supportive the Grime MC is of her rocketing career.

Speaking about their relationship to Yahoo! Celeb, Maya - whose forthcoming documentary, Swipe Right For Sex, will air on Channel 5 on August 31 - said: ‘It’s so funny, before it would be like, ‘We’re not going to talk about us’, but now he’s written a song, we have to talk about it! It was a birthday prez. It is really cute, it’s a great present because it will last forever.’

Stormzy - whose real name is Michael Omari - played the Virgin Media Main stage at V Festival last weekend and is widely credited as one of the artists bringing Grime music into the charts.

The couple have dated for two years and the talented host admitted they continue to inspire each other.

She said: “He does inspire me, I think it’s nice because we’re in a similar kind of field. And it’s easier because you understand each other’s busy-ness and studio stuff. We’re on the same page with those kind of things. And it’s nice to have someone that works as much as you, it’s ideal, and when travelling to other places, because we’re away quite a lot.

“It’s inspiring to watch their rise as well. Like, a few years ago, he’d not even been to a festival and now he’s headlining some of the biggest London festivals there are, so it has been inspiring to witness.”

Maya will head to Notting Hill Carnival over the bank holiday weekend and report live from her Snapchat account whilst she’s there.

She added: “It’s the first year in three years that I’m not working, so I’m actually going to go around and do all the sound systems, Rampage (sound system) is back, which I’m going to see.

“I’m like a Snapchat addict, so anytime I go anywhere it will be documented on there, I see it as my own personal documentary.”
