Neighbours' Finn Kelly may have started the show as a villain, but it looks like that's nothing a dose of amnesia can't fix.

Despite initial scepticism when Finn (Rob Mills) woke up from his coma, some Ramsay Street residents start to believe that Finn really could be a reformed character after he seemingly proved he's a changed man when he saved Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) and Imogen Willis (Ariel Kaplan) from being hit by a mystery driver.

And, according to actress Bonnie Anderson, who plays Bea Nilsson on the soap, a nicer Finn Kelly is exactly the plan for the character's future on Neighbours.

"He is like the Finn he was when he was 19 – a really nice person," Bonnie told Digital Spy. "We are now getting to know Finn how he once was. He is like a cute, dorky young boy."

Actor Rob Mills was recently made a regular on the soap after appearing as a guest star in the past, and now that Finn Kelly will be sticking around, Bonnie has hinted that audience sympathies may start to shift towards Finn, rather than against him.

"I think [fans] are going to start to feel sorry for him," Bonnie continued. "They don't like him very much at the moment and neither does Bea. Even though she changes her mind about him going to prison, she still doesn’t like him. She just wants him to go away.

"But I think fans are going to start to get annoyed by Ned, to be honest, and feel more sorry for Finn."

Neighbours has already hinted at more trouble for Finn as next week will see him face a fresh wave of serious allegations after escaping a prison sentence.

Bonnie also teased that Finn's ongoing presence could lead to trouble for Bea Nilsson and Ned Willis too when Finn moves into the Kennedy home, prompting Ned to become increasingly possessive of Bea.

"Ned loves her so much and doesn't want her to be hurt, but he is power-tripping and he's very controlling," she told us.

"She doesn’t like Finn much at all – she has no feelings for him whatsoever but she is aware he has feelings for her and feels very uncomfortable. She is almost being pushed closer to Finn because of the way Ned is acting.

"There's definitely trouble ahead. They are butting heads at the moment because he is really just trying to take over her life with the controlling stuff."

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
