Pose's third season brought fans some heartwarming scenes as it aired the wedding of Angel and Papi, one of the few times we've seen a trans person – especially one of colour –tie the knot on screen.

Ricky played a big part in the ceremony, singing a song at the wedding, and actor Dyllón Burnside was overjoyed to be a part of it, speaking about the importance of the scenes in an exclusive interview with Digital Spy.

"The actual wedding scene is stunning and breathtaking," he said. "I was so grateful to have a part where I got to sing and share that gift with the show, and with the audience.

"But aside from just the wedding… It's also a monumental moment for trans women to be able to see themselves in that way, and to see that there's possibilities for them, in a world that tells them there's not.

"I also love that in the episode prior to that… just seeing all of these women in these dresses, getting to play in the wedding dress shop. That was such a beautiful moment as well. I really loved when they all come down those steps in the wedding dresses. That's just really a moment I'll never forget seeing, and I don't think audiences will forget it either.

"It's truly groundbreaking. I'm grateful for our creators and writers for being so bold and for tackling that."

Unfortunately, Pose only has one episode left, and not only of the third season, but the show itself. We recently spoke to creator Steven Canals about why the show is ending, its long journey to the screen, and how he thinks it evolved over the years.

Pose season three airs on FX in the US. A UK air date has not yet been confirmed.
