The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Lisa Barlow has spoken exclusively to Digital Spy about the status of her friendship with co-star Meredith Marks in season 2.

The pair were introduced on the show as longtime friends who'd have each other's backs all throughout the first season of the hayu and Bravo reality series.

The second looks set to change the dynamic, as the arrest of fellow co-star Jen Shah and Shah's ongoing feud with Meredith's son Brooks could have implications for Lisa too.

When we recently spoke to Lisa about the sophomore season, she joked that she will be "in the middle of a lot" of drama throughout RHOSLC's return episodes.

"Meredith and I have always been great friends. I've known Meredith for over 10 years," she explained. "We're not just friends as [girlfriends], our families are actually friends. My kids absolutely love Meredith's kids. Meredith and I have always had very raw conversations with each other.

"Our birthdays are a day apart. We're both Sagittariuses, and we're both very direct. I think you'll see more dynamic to my friendship with Meredith. Obviously, we're still friends and close friends, but… as new friends were introduced into our friendship [group], you're going to see that dynamic shift.

"It doesn't mean it's good, it doesn't mean it's bad. It's just shifted. You'll see how raw Meredith and I actually are with each other. I think it's a good thing. I think it's real, that's how real relationships are. You'll get to see more depth and dimension in our relationship."
