Yahoo News Exclusive: Save Me Too actor says Goz feels "responsible" for missing Jody
Save Me Too actor Thomas Coombes has opened up to Digital Spy about why his character Goz is in "a dark, dark place" in season two.
The second season of the Sky series picks up with Nelly (The Walking Dead's Lennie James) continuing his desperate search for his missing daughter Jody, while encountering the troubled young woman Grace.
Nelly remains desperate for clues about what's happened to Jody, especially since his drug dealer friend Goz (Coombes) had last discovered disturbing clues about her disappearance at the end of the last season.
When we spoke to Thomas Coombes about Save Me Too's second season, he described the "desperate situation" Goz finds himself involved in.

"He's still using his ties, using anything he can [to find Jody] and Goz is one of the people he can rely on most," the actor explained. So he's pushing boundaries... but those barriers get tested [when Nelly makes him lie to the police].
"He knows Goz's most important priorities are his family... they (Goz and Daisy) have a pact that they don't bring outside trouble into the family because Goz has got a history of some criminal elements and he had to drop them as soon as they got kids.
"He doesn’t bring anything home. He makes sure everything is as safe as can be. That's why [Goz] is hurt, that Nelly's kind of taken the Mickey.
"But he's trying to make up for what he did in season one as Goz feels partly responsible for not spotting what was in front of him with the students and their involvement in Jody going missing.

"I think he carries that on through these months, so when we meet him he's trying to make amends to Nelly and trying to make it up to him because he feels the guilt."
