One of Surrey’s most spectacular houses is opening its door for Christmas. The Mascolo family (of Toni & Guy fame) will be welcoming guests to their estate to enjoy Christmas fun and a unusual look at a normally hidden space.

The Effingham property, where Toni’s wife Pauline and family still reside, will host the Summerdown Light's Switch On and Family Christmas Extravaganza at the beginning of December. The grounds will be transformed into a festive wonderland in support of children’s care at King's College Hospital.

The festive display will feature a mini Christmas village, a visit from Santa and a charity raffle featuring prizes from local businesses. To eat and drink there will be mulled wine and hot chocolate as well as festive sweets and nibbles.

Organised by the TONI&GUY Charitable Foundation the event on Sunday, December 1 will be £20 for a family ticket with prices deliberately kept low to ensure more people can afford to attend amid rising living costs.

"We recognise that many families are facing difficult choices this Christmas due to increasing costs," says Pierre Mascolo, Chairman of the TONI&GUY Foundation. "By keeping tickets affordable, we're ensuring that every family, regardless of their circumstances, can create magical Christmas memories while supporting children who are facing life's toughest battles in our hospital ward."

All proceeds will go to support the foundation's 15-bed ward at King's College Hospital. Last year's Christmas event raised £20,000, and this year the foundation is focused on supporting disadvantaged children across multiple initiatives.

Lilia Mascolo, Foundation Director said: "The magic of Christmas lies in bringing people together. By opening our family estate for this festive celebration, we're creating a space where families from all walks of life can come together, share in the joy of the season, and make a real difference to children who need it most. That's what the true spirit of Christmas is all about - creating light in darkness and hope through community."
