Exeter City have signed forward Andrew Oluwabori from Halifax Town on a two-and-a-half year deal. The 23-year-old has been brought in to replace Millenic Alli who left the Grecians for Luton Town earlier in the transfer window.

Oluwabori, who can play anywhere across the front three, has scored six goals in 27 appearances in the National League this season. This included two in his final two starts for Halifax against Gateshead and Solihull Moors.

He began his career with the Huddersfield Town youth academy before joining Peterborough United in 2021. He has since been loaned out to Borehamwood and Kettering Town of the National League North.

Oluwabori was then loaned to Yeovil Town for the remainder of the 2022/23 season. He scored twice in 25 appearances.

Exeter manager Gary Caldwell has described the 23-year-old as a "really exciting as a young player with potential". He said the forward possesses "pace and power" and has the potential to be better than Millenic Alli.

Gary Caldwell said: Andrew is someone who is a replacement for Millenic Alli, but he is a slightly different type of player. He plays anywhere across the front three as wide or a number 10, and we think he can evolve into a number nine.

"He is someone who is really exciting as a young player with potential, that has pace and power, and he has scored goals at National League level. We believe with the right coaching he can be as good, if not better, than what Milli was for us.”

Oluwabori becomes the Grecians' fifth signing of the January transfer window. Ryan Trevitt and Alex Hartridge rejoined the club on loan deals last week. Midfielder Joel Colwill joined City on loan from Cardiff City in January and Tony Yogane will spend the rest of the season in Exeter having joined from Brentford on loan.
