Exhausted Golden Retrievers Doze in Sleeping Bags After Long Hike

An American hiker filmed her two three-legged golden retrievers on July 17 as they were slumbering in their sleeping bags after a long day in Vermont.

Jennifer Milikowsky told Storyful that her family had been spending the summer backpacking America’s oldest footpath, The Long Trail, which runs for 272 miles across the state of Vermont.

In the footage, originally shared to the canines’ Instagram account, the “Tripawd Twins” can be seen deeply slumbering, tucked up in their sleeping bags, with Milikowsky exclaiming: “Oh my goodness, they’re so cute! My heart is exploding.”

She explained that the two dogs, Ralph and Daisy, were three-legged rescues, but that “despite their missing legs, they [loved] hiking more than anything!” The video, she said, was taken after a long day of hiking over Stratton mountain.
