Exit Poll Results Met With Shouts At London School of Economics After Election Ballots Close

Exit poll results were met with shouts at the London School of Economics on December 12 as votes began being counted in the UK general election.

The reaction from a crowd as the results were announced was captured in a video shared by the school. A few men at the back of the auditorium can be seen standing up, shaking their fists and cheering in response to news that the Conservatives were on track for a landslide majority.

An Ipsos poll for BBC, Sky and ITV had the Conservative Party on track to win 368 seats, compared to 191 for the Labour Party party, 13 for the Liberal Democrats, 55 for the Scottish National Party and at least one seat for the Green party. Credit: LSE Public Policy via Storyful
