Extensive Flooding Hits Areas Near Auckland

Aerial footage taken on Sunday, July 15, shows submerged roads in Clevedon, outside Auckland, following a weekend of wild weather on New Zealand’s North Island.

Traffic backup was reported around Auckland as floodwaters spilled onto Waikato Expressway. The flooding reportedly worsened on Sunday evening due to a high tide.
