Fantastic Beasts star Ezra Miller has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman in Hawaii.

Hawaii Island police responded to the incident at a private property in Pahoa in which police claimed Miller became "irate" when they were asked to leave.

Per BBC News, the actor was charged with second-degree assault on Tuesday (April 19) morning after they reportedly threw a chair at the woman, striking her in the head and leaving a "half-inch cut".

In a statement, the police department said: "Shortly after 01:00 HST (12:00 GMT) Tuesday April 19 2022, a 29-year-old visitor from Vermont was arrested for second-degree assault after an incident at a residence in Pahoa.

"During the course of their investigation, police determined that the individual, later identified as Ezra Miller, became irate after being asked to leave and reportedly threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old female on the forehead, resulting in an approximate half-inch cut."

Police added that the woman was not treated for the injury.

This is the second time that Miller has been arrested in recent weeks, as they were also charged with harassment and disorderly conduct at a karaoke bar in Hilo last month.

The Flash actor reportedly became aggravated by a woman singing 'Shallow' by Lady Gaga and grabbed the microphone from her, as well as lunging at a man playing darts. Police claimed that Miller "began yelling obscenities" and reported that the "bar owner asked Miller to calm down several times to no avail" (via Independent). He pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge and was charged $500, according to Page Six.

Miller's recent arrests have sparked some discussion around the future of their career, since they are set to reprise their role as The Flash in a stand-alone movie this year, and they recently starred in the third instalment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
