'F**k CCP:' Protesters Vandalize Stores in Sha Tin

Anti-government protesters faced off against authorities in Hong Kong on October 13, vandalizing shops and shouting slogans at police.

Sunday’s demonstrations, described by local media as “flash mob protests,” come as the city enters its 19th consecutive week of political unrest.

This footage shows damage to Bank of China and Best Mart 360° outlets in in New Town Plaza. “F**k CCP [Communist Party of China]” has been scrawled across the entrance to the bank.

Mass protests in Hong Kong started in March over a now-shelved extradition bill that would have allowed people to be sent to mainland China for trial.

The protests have broadened, with hundreds of thousands of people participating in multiple rallies, most recently about a new law banning face masks at protests. Credit: SocREC via Storyful
