F1 Virtual Grand Prix LIVE results: Charles Leclerc wins on eSports debut ahead of Christian Lundgaard

Welcome to Standard Sport's LIVE commentary of the Formula 1 Virtual Grand Prix at Albert Park.

F1 recruited a star-studded line-up for the second race of the eSports calendar with five drivers from the real-life paddock joining in.

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc took the checkered flag having qualified on pole with Renault's Christian Lundgaard finishing 10 seconds behind.

Williams' George Russell came home in the final podium place as Leclerc's brother Arthur finishing fourth.

Jenson Button, the 2009 world champion, finished just outside the points in 11th and England cricketer Ben Stokes was last of the 18 cars that crossed the finish line.

How does it work?

The stream will be hosted from the Gfinity eSports Arena, with each driver participating via a special simulator system.

Drivers will be given time to acquaint themselves with the equipment in the week leading up to the race before qualifying for their places on the grid. A 28-lap race will then decide who wins on Sunday.
