The end of the season is fast approaching and the campaign's traditional closing call of the FA Cup Final is almost upon us.

Manchester United will return to Wembley after defeating Tottenham 2-1 in the first of this season's semi-finals, with Jose Mourinho set to face his former side Chelsea in May's final.

United won the competition two years ago, and Mourinho will be confident of becoming only the third manager in history to win the competition with two different clubs.

Chelsea were beaten by Arsenal in the showpiece 12 months ago and Antonio Conte will be determined to put that right before his anticipated departure in the summer.

When and where is the final?

The 2017-18 FA Cup final will take place on May 19, 2018.

The match will be played at the Wembley Stadium, which will be the 12th final held at the new stadium.

BBC and BT Sport have shared coverage of the FA Cup throughout the season and will both broadcast the final on BBC One and BT Sport 2 respectively.

Both clubs have been allocated 28,000 tickets each.

A statement on the FA website said: "Tickets for the final are priced £45, £70, £115 and £145 for adults, with a saving of £25 for concession tickets in category 1 and 2 and a saving of £10 in category 3 and 4."

VAR

A Video Assistant Referee (VAR) will be used in the Final, although the technology has not been used without controversy this season.

With Southampton trailing Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Cup semi-final, referee Martin Atkinson blew for a foul on Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero moments before he appeared to drop the ball over his goalline.

The VAR was not consulted and the decision to award Chelsea, who went on to win the game 2-0, a free kick stood, much to the annoyance of Southampton manager Mark Hughes.

"We're disappointed with the officials," Hughes said. "It was a match-defining moment. Who knows how the game might have followed from that moment?"
