Face of Birmingham criminal who is banned from the whole of Worcestershire
A prolific shoplifter who targeted pet shops in Worcestershire has been handed a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) in court. David Powell, from Birmingham, was slapped with the CBO at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 18.
The order - which runs until November 18, 2026 - bans the 41-year-old from entering all Just for Pets stores nationwide. He is also barred from entering Worcestershire unless attending court or travelling through the county in a vehicle.
Powell’s shoplifting spree saw him target stores in Evesham, Bromsgrove and Redditch. The shoplifter, of Maryland Drive, Birmingham, was described by police as "prolific".

Safer Neighbourhood Inspector for Wychavon, Dave Wise, said: “Powell’s prolific shoplifting has led to this two-year CBO which we hope will protect retailers and the public from further criminality from this individual. Powell had been coming into Worcestershire to commit his crimes.
"We hope his ban from the county will reassure businesses and the community that we take such offences very seriously and will take appropriate action where necessary. Anyone who sees Powell in the county or committing a crime should report it to police as soon as possible.”
