Facebook Feud Ends With Girl, 14, Shot Dead

A 14-year-old girl is dead and two others are injured after gunfire rang out during a park fight that was arranged following an online squabble.

Police in Birmingham, Alabama, have launched a homicide investigation after Friday evening's triple shooting.

The deceased was named by officials as Kierra'onna Rice. She died in hospital of her injuries.

Two other victims were taken to hospital.

Investigators say the confrontation began with a quarrel among some girls on Facebook.

It is alleged that the group of teens arranged the brawl, which they planned to film before posting the footage on social media.

As fists flew, police say two males, aged 17 and 19, pulled out guns and began firing at the girls.

Two suspects were identified by witnesses and have been taken into custody.
