Facebook GIFs: How to easily create and share your own

Facebook has made it really easy to create your own GIFs and post them to your profile.

The social network has updated its – relatively new – camera feature, which you can only access through the app, and not the website.

You can open it either by swiping right on the News Feed or tapping the camera icon near the top of the screen.

From there, all you need to do is tap the GIF option and record your own two-second looping clip.

You can customise it by adding masks, frames, text, emoji and stickers and, once you’re done, just save it to your camera roll.

After that, you can post it on Facebook as part of an update, send it to your friends as a message or add it to your Story.

You can also now go live from directly from the Facebook camera and use any of its effects while you’re actually videoing.

If you do decide to go live, your video will be available to view in your Facebook Story, but will also be shared with your desired audience on the main part of the site.

However, you can choose to only share your live video in your Story, by tapping Post & Story before going live.

The options aren’t open to everyone yet, but have started rolling out to Android and iOS users.
