Logue admitted 35 fraud charges after stealing £107,000 from clients, including a dying man. The 64-year-old tax agent, of Abbey Street, Northampton, made repayment claims for clients but kept the money for himself. An HMRC investigation unearthed bogus claims during a four-year fraud starting in 2015 which left some of his victims facing financial trouble and led to him being jailed for three years, nine months. Northampton teenager McIntosh was sentenced to 12 months in a young offenders’ institution after admitting possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply and possession of criminal property — £335 in cash — uncovered when police raided an address in Spencer Parade in January 2022. McIntosh, now 18, formerly of Valley Road, tried to jump out of a window but was found to be carrying drugs and two suspected ‘burner’ phones. Detectives initially believed McIntosh was being exploited and working for gangs but later confirmed he was running his own drug supply line and was involved heavily in crime. The 56-year-old who stabbed his former partner with a kitchen knife after her shift at Northampton General Hospital in August 2022 was sentenced to 23 years. Budea  was found guilty of attempted murder and Section 18 wounding with intent earlier this year after the court heard he pulled out a kitchen knife and chased the woman down the street, stabbing her several times to the arms and shoulder before a passer-by intervened.Budea then attacked the passer-by cutting his arm, before fleeing then stabbing himself multiple times. Shkodra (top, left) cannabis farms were discovered in Northampton.According to police, the gang produced and supplied wholesale quantities of cannabis to other gangs in Northamptonshire, the West Midlands and London.All the defendants were seen visiting Shkodra’s address in Baronson Gardens which was used as a ‘safe house’ to store goods. A row over a social media conversation ended with a man needing emergency surgery on horrific facial injuries after a brutal beating. Northampton Crown Court heard how Corby thug William Michael Ronald Turner, 34, rowed with his girlfriend then turned on a pal who tried to intervene.Turner, of Oakley Road, admitted assault by beating and grievous bodily harm, and sentenced to two years. The Rushden drug dealer, aged 20, was caught with class A substances worth £2,000 in his underpants after a tip-off by locals.Using the pretext of walking a dog he had been selling drugs from an alleyway. A stop and search found he had £1,522.10 in cash and two phones. A strip search in custody later found 25 packets of cocaine, 43 wraps of crack cocaine and 31 of heroin – with an estimated street value of around £2,000 – in his underpants.Beirne, of Slaters Close, was sentenced to a total of 30 months in a young offenders’ institution. The Kettering 24-year-old was jailed after one of the most serious domestic abuse cases magistrates had ever seen.Salvatore Sortino slapped his ex-partner and spat at her in a campaign of harassment that lasted for more than a year following the end of their relationship. He called and texted his victim more than 300 times a day, turned up at her home, her workplace and even her friend’s house to threaten her with violence.Even after he was charged and remanded in custody he continued to harass her from prison.Sortino was guilty of harassment with fear of violence encompassing three assaults, malicious communications and witness intimidation and sentenced to three years, five months at Northampton Crown Court. The 31-year-old drug dealer was caught driving in a white Ford Transit van on the A43 between Northampton and Kettering with cannabis plants, a rambo-style knife and a machete.  According to police, he was stopped after calls from locals who suspected a break-in taking place at Princes Street, Kettering.
