A pair of Peregrine Falcons who live at Glasgow University each Spring, have been officially named after hundreds of suggestions from the students and staff. The avian couple have returned to their nest on the top of the campus tower for several years and earlier in the year welcomed four adorable chicks into the world.

With the falcons becoming mainstays at the campus, staff and students decided to name them both. As well as being named, the uni has also provided the Falcons with their very own staff cards, reports Glasgow Live. Sharing the joyous news on Facebook, the university said: "Our UofG Peregrine Falcon couple have officially been named by our community...Introducing Bonnie & Clyde!

"Bonnie & Clyde have returned to nest each spring at the top of the University’s tower for several years and this year the falcons hatched four chicks. UofG students & staff were invited to submit suggestions for naming the falcons and over 300 ideas were received.
