Family of 'amazing' dad have a 'little bit of justice' as A500 killer driver jailed
The grieving family of a dad-of-three killed in a crash on the A500 say have they have a 'little bit of justice' after the driver was jailed.
Chris Parsons was forced to take evasive action on the D-road when Alison Cooper's red Ford Fiesta suddenly braked harshly as she drove home from work. This resulted in his black Renault Clio swerving and colliding with a blue Seat Ateca travelling in the opposite direction.
Chris, 29, was confirmed dead at the scene following the smash, which happened near Barthomley at around 4.45pm on June 16, 2022.

Cooper, 60, of Badger Brow Road, Loggerheads, was this week jailed for 40 months after pleading guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. She has also been banned from the roads for five years.
Following the sentence at Chester Crown Court, Chris' family from Mostyn in North Wales said: "We as a family would like to thank Cheshire police for all their hard work throughout this case that helped to get some justice for Chris.
"Nothing will ever bring our Chris back home to us, but we are overwhelmed by the sentence that was given today. Chris’ death has impacted the family immensely, and every day is spent missing him.
"Knowing that we have a little bit of justice for our family, justice for his children and for his friends, is something that will make our healing that tiny bit easier. Rest easy shifty, we love you always."
Speaking after the case, DC Lisa Evans-Hill, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a dangerous action on a busy road with fatal consequences. This decision to brake, caused not only Chris’s family’s lives to change forever that day, but Mrs Cooper’s as well.
“I hope it makes people think carefully about their actions behind the wheel. Everyone should be aware that when they get in a vehicle, they have the potential to cause real damage and even take a life. You have not only your life in your hands but other road users and this needs to be remembered every time you make that journey. Please drive carefully and safely for everyone’s sake."
